Replying to Mario Simard (Bloc Québécois)
“Mr. Speaker, my colleague will probably agree with me. Once again, we have proof that Quebec is trapped in the Canadian straitjacket. In 2008, during the financial crisis, money was there for the automotive sector. Today, the logic goes like this: The government is rushing to take action for the auto sector, and the same goes for the energy sector, by which I mean oil and gas. However, when it comes to supporting Quebec’s economy, the response is very, very feeble. I know a solution for that. I would like to hear my colleague’s thoughts. What would be the best solution for Quebec today?”
