I want to thank the minister for bringing forward this legislation. Many years ago, I delivered a speech in this House on Audrey Parker, and it was by far the most difficult thing I have ever had to do in my 11 years in the House of Commons. My question to the minister is, how did stories of great Canadians like Audrey Parker, and the minister mentioned a couple others in his speech, and the impact that MAID had for them influence the outcome of this legislation that he is bringing forward today?
