In just their second season, these students engineered an award-winning robot and won the Inspire Award, ²which is the competition’s highest award.³ That victory carried them to the FIRST world championships in Houston as one of only 14 teams from Canada competing, ⁴and they did not go to just watch. They won multiple matches against the very best teams in the world, ⁵which are much older and much more experienced teams.
