“Mr. Speaker, I believe my friend underestimates how important it is to recognize many of the things that have been occurring. When the member talks about the importance of exports, we now have exports beyond the Canada-U.S.A. border up something like 17% since the last election. There have been significant increases. Trade agreements, which will deal with a wide spectrum of agricultural goods plus many other items, are increasing. We have had legislation passed and agreements signed off on defence. The province of Quebec, as an example, will do exceptionally well with those expanded trade opportunities. Could the member provide his comments on that issue?”
