Replying to Kevin Lamoureux (Liberal)
“Mr. Speaker, the member made reference to the issue of labour. I would like to get her to think about essential services. The Manitoba government actually asked the Manitoba Labour Board to order striking Dynacare employees back to work. It used the mechanism of the labour board, and the labour board agreed that Dynacare is an essential service. Whether it is an NDP government in Manitoba or Conservatives in other jurisdictions, they seem to recognize essential services. Does this particular member or the federal NDP recognize essential services?”
