“Madam Speaker, I am wondering if my colleague can provide some additional thoughts in regard to the larger issue of affordability. The gas tax levy break that is being provided to Canadians is significant. It will help out greatly. However, it is part of a broader package, as the government understands the issue of affordability and is doing what it can by bringing in a number of different measures. I wonder if the member can provide his thoughts on how important it is, as we continue to try to grow the economy and make a stronger and healthier economy overall, that we address the issue of affordability by having the types of measures we have brought in.”
