“Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague. I really enjoy working with him at the Standing Committee on International Trade. I would like to understand something. He talked a lot about major projects, projects of national interest. I think he is aware that projects of this scale take longer than 12 months to complete. I think it is important to keep that in mind. He sits with me at the Standing Committee on International Trade, and he knows very well that what we have heard most often is that businesses need predictability to invest, to move forward, and to ensure growth. They need certainty. I would like to know if my colleague believes that Bill C-39 will provide businesses with the predictability they need to invest.”
