“Mr. Speaker, I can certainly relate to many of the things my colleague talked about with respect to things he hears from Canadians, including people in his riding. We are talking about relief at the pumps. I also talked to a lot of small and medium-sized business owners in the beautiful riding I represent, and they are also talking about the impact that increased diesel prices have on their operations. I am wondering if this is something my colleague also experiences, and whether he would like to expand specifically on that aspect of the increased cost of diesel.”

Many of our truckers are dealing with the same crisis. They are going about their day-to-day life not able to afford the simple things they should be able to afford. Their second and third fill-ups are so exhausting that they go home and are not able to have their dollar carry through the month to afford the payments they need to make, to carry some relief and to make sure they have some savings for their family and kids.
