“Mr. Speaker, I would like to thank my colleague for her concern for the victims of Tumbler Ridge, Maya, of course, and also Paige, who is another survivor. This gives me a chance to highlight one thing. I would like to say a special thanks to Kash Patel, director of the FBI; Mike Harrington, special agent in charge of the FBI in Washington state; Michael Duheme, RCMP commissioner; and Elija Rain, assistant commissioner, B.C. RCMP, for their work in apprehending James Cody Bryant. I have less of a question and more of a comment. I just want to thank the hon. member for showing her heart for Maya and for the victims’ families. They watch this kind of thing and they appreciate it. They are not forgotten. I also want to thank the hon. member for her concern about Canadians’ privacy. In the effort to protect our kids, we cannot lose that effort.”
