Replying to Scot Davidson (Conservative)
“Mr. Speaker, last week the Minister of Industry was on Bay Street saying, “We used to be able to transform aluminum in Canada, and we don’t anymore.” The minister should know there are over 80,000 Canadians employed in the downstream aluminum industry right now whose jobs are at risk. Her comments saying the industry does not exist are a slap in the face to every one of those workers. Why is she already writing the industry’s obituary when it is the Liberals’ failure to get a deal that is killing these jobs?”
