“Madam Speaker, the member just said that military recruitment is down. Again the member is wrong, and he should know that we had record numbers of people applying to join the Canadian Forces. The member should acknowledge that. At the end of the day, we have a Prime Minister who has been pushing for the last 18 months for our Canadian Forces. We have gone from a Stephen Harper 1% of GDP for the military to a 2% of Canadian GDP under the current Prime Minister. The member needs to be more straightforward and stick with the facts.”
