“Madam Speaker, my colleague’s speech was incredible. I know he has continuously supported the members of the Canadian Armed Forces. Atlantic Canada plays a really important role for the Department of National Defence. The member spoke a bit about some of the opportunities that this provides for companies in the defence sector in his riding. Could he elaborate on why doing the same thing we have been doing in the past has not been working, and why it is so important that we put in place a Crown corporation that would allow the men and women in uniform to get the equipment they need faster and, more appropriately, Canada-purchased equipment?”
