Replying to David McKenzie (Conservative)
“Mr. Speaker, we all want Canada to grow and diversify its export markets. Today, I have good news. Strathcona Resources, a Canadian oil and gas producer, wants to export 250,000 barrels a day of crude oil from Prince Rupert. Strathcona will ship by rail existing in place today. It just needs the Liberal government to get out of the way and remove the west coast tanker ban. My private member’s bill, Bill C-264, will do exactly that. Will the Prime Minister get out of the way and repeal the tanker ban so Strathcona can help Canada become an energy superpower?”
