Replying to Jean-Yves Duclos (Liberal)
“Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague for giving such a clear and accurate account of everything the government is doing to help families, but I think she forgot one thing. Perhaps I just missed it. I am thinking of the record investments in child care services for families and children in Quebec. The Canadian government allocated nearly $2 billion to the Quebec government to create the equivalent of 150,000 child care spaces in Quebec alone. As a mother, as a woman, but also as someone who believes in fairness and in the importance of children achieving their full potential, what does my colleague think of that investment in child care in Quebec?”
