“Mr. Speaker, I want to thank the member for the excellent work she does representing her constituents. One of the first things I did when I became shadow minister for jobs is spend a bit of time travelling around and talking to people in different regions. I spent some time in the member’s riding, and she set up some great engagements for me as part of that trip. I know she has been a champion of recognizing and appreciating trades work. Some of the recommendations we have put forward have been about doing more to align education and training with the needs of the labour market and training Canadian young people for jobs here in Canada. I wonder if the member can share a bit about the work happening in her riding to achieve that.”
