“Madam Speaker, Daughter Project Canada is “working to end the sexual exploitation of children and youth through awareness, prevention and advocacy.” Its website states that one in 10 children in Canada is sexually victimized before they turn 18 years old. This is an urgent situation. The member talks about how the platforms should be held accountable. Through this legislation, we would be standing up the digital safety act, and then of course the digital safety commission of Canada act, which would ensure that we are able to regulate these services. I would like the member to share his thoughts on that.”
