Replying to Guillaume Deschênes-Thériault (Liberal)
“Mr. Speaker, one important aspect of the bill is establishing an independent commission on online safety. This commission will be tasked with reviewing the platforms’ safety plans free from any political interference. It will therefore fulfill various roles to ensure that our young people are protected online. I would like to hear my colleague’s thoughts on that. What does she think of the commission proposed in the bill? Does she see that as a step forward?”
