Replying to Pierre Poilievre (Conservative)
“Mr. Speaker, everybody loves Kramer. If he wants to talk about something weird, the Prime Minister told us that if we brought in a big industrial carbon tax on our steel, aluminum, cement and concrete, the Europeans would let our industrial goods in tariff-free. It turns out they are now threatening a carbon tariff on Canada, at the same time the Prime Minister holds his grand summit. He has already failed to get American tariffs lifted, like he promised in the election. Can Prime Minister tell us, is he going to stand up to the Europeans and make sure there is no carbon tariff on our goods?”
