Replying to Stéphane Lauzon (Liberal). The question was off topic, so this reply is judged against the bill.
“Mr. Speaker, this is an extremely controversial issue. It is an issue I have discussed around my kitchen table. It was difficult to reach a consensus between my wife and my three daughters. As the minister has said on several occasions, these were difficult decisions. Can the minister tell us how important it is to introduce a bill like this for Canadians who have difficult decisions to make?”
