“We want to launch our first spacecraft from Canada by 2028, and we need this law to do it. Will the member explain how this bill helps Canada's future and creates good jobs?”
“Mr. Speaker, the government and the Prime Minister have established a fairly ambitious goal. Hopefully, sometime in 2028, we will actually be able to launch something from Canada, which would be a first. Part of that is ensuring that we get this legislation in place. I wonder if my colleague could provide his thoughts on why this legislation would do a lot of what we have been talking about: securing Canada’s future and creating good-quality jobs into the future.”

Mr. Speaker, the government and the Prime Minister have established a fairly ambitious goal. Hopefully, sometime in 2028, we will actually be able to launch something from Canada, which would be a first. Part of that is ensuring that we get this legislation in place.
