“The Conservatives want to vote against this bill even though it helps Canadian and Quebec artists. They also want to cut CBC and Radio-Canada. This bill helps keep our own content here and does more for Canadians.”
“Mr. Speaker, I would like to thank my colleague for his question. Obviously, it is easy for the Conservatives to target the bill and try to vote against something that helps our Quebec and Canadian artists. However, we must remember that it is also the Conservatives who want to abolish CBC/Radio-Canada and cancel the investments we are making in our Quebec and Canadian advertising. This bill enables us to bring content home and do more for Canadians and Quebeckers.”
