Madeleine Chenette Liberal
“Our government cares about culture, but the Bloc Québécois does not. In our budget, we are investing hundreds of millions of dollars to support and export our cultural industry. Quebec Liberal MPs will keep defending our culture.”
“Madam Speaker, unlike the Bloc Québécois, members on this side of the House have zero doubts that culture is important, and we are ready to invest in it. We did so in the budget, yet they were against it. With the $600 million that we are investing in the industry and the $95 million that we are investing in exporting our industry, giving access to 120 international markets, we are fostering its development, because our culture is extremely important. We, the 44 Liberal MPs from Quebec in this place, are constantly fighting to defend, protect and promote culture.”
