“The government needs to spend money to grow the economy when times are hard. We must support Canadians through tough times instead of just scaring them and doing nothing.”
“Mr. Speaker, it is important that all levels of government recognize that during points of difficulty, it is important to stimulate economic growth. It is counter-cyclical. That is what is happening here. We have to create the bridge to enable our citizens to weather the challenges before us. We cannot just stand in the House and create fear, saying the sky is falling, and do nothing to help. We have to approve some of the work that is being done to support them in this case.”
