“Our government is spending more on defence. We reached our NATO spending goal early and gave all military members a pay raise. I am thanking the Canadian Armed Forces for keeping us safe.”
“Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague for pointing out the great strides our government has made in spending recently, including reaching NATO’s 2% defence spending target five years ahead of schedule, as well as the incredible, unprecedented pay raise for every member of the Canadian Armed Forces. Yesterday was the Canadian Armed Forces national appreciation day. I want to take the opportunity to express my gratitude and appreciation on behalf of every member of this House, I am sure, for our Canadian Armed Forces and our men and women serving in uniform to keep us safe.”
