“This bill helps Canadians with the cost of living, and I am glad the Conservatives will vote for it. Our school food program also helps 400,000 children. Should the Conservatives change their minds and support that program too?”
“Madam Speaker, Bill C-38 is all about giving a break on the issue of affordability to Canadians. This is something the government has recognized as very important. One of the aspects the government brought forward last year to help children was the national food program within our schools, helping 400,000 young people. I am glad the Conservative Party today is going to be supporting Bill C-38. I am wondering if the member could provide her thoughts on whether she believes the Conservative Party should reverse its position and support Canada’s national food program, which supports 400,000 children from coast to coast to coast.”
