“I want the House to pass this bill. Businesses have been asking for it, and it meets Quebec's needs. It is not too late to act, and this bill will help projects move faster.”
Official Hansard

Mr. Speaker, that is a very good question the Conservative member asked me. I am newly elected. As you know, the by-election was held on August 31. Since coming to power last year, Mr. Carney’s government has had a plan to build Canada strong. There is a bill on the table. The business community has been calling for it. We believe it is never too late to act. The point of the bill is to do things right and to move more quickly. Introducing such a bill means aligning with Quebec’s demands and ensuring a strong Quebec within a strong Canada.
