“The government talks a lot but does not get results. The environment minister opposes oil and gas development. Her choices hurt Canadian industry, harm the economy, and divide the country. We need a prime minister who brings people together.”

Mr. Speaker, with the Liberal government, it continues to be all rhetoric with no results. Again, getting back to taking bold action, the government has done nothing when it comes to bold action. In fact, the environment minister herself is an active ally for the movement to try to end any development in the oil sands. She hates the oil sands. It is even on her own website that she does not want to see any more development in the oil sands. She is very much anti-oil and anti-gas. The Liberal government still has the same anti-energy activists in the government, in cabinet, still forcing some of these decisions. That is what is leading a lot of the destruction of Canadian industry and the Canadian economy. That is why a lot of the divides continue to exist in this country. This country needs a unifying prime minister. and it is certainly not the one who is sitting over there.
