“Conservatives want to lower diesel prices completely, while Liberals only want small changes. High fuel costs made this harvest very expensive. I want the member to explain how that raises grocery prices across Canada.”
“Mr. Speaker, the last question highlighted the difference between the Conservatives’ approach to this issue and the Liberals’ approach to this issue. They are talking about “measured”, and we are talking about making a substantial difference in Canadians’ lives by removing the entirety of everything the government can control in terms of the price of diesel. The member talked about the most expensive harvest he has ever seen. I am wondering if he could talk about the impact of that on our food prices at the grocery store in the rest of Canada.”
