“The Conservatives keep changing their minds about the carbon tax. Our Prime Minister got rid of it, and I am glad he did. Manitoba cut gas taxes, and it was a good idea. Our government is happy to use good ideas from any party if they help Canadians.”

Madam Speaker, those were interesting comments, that is for sure. There was a time when the Conservatives were in favour of a carbon tax, and then they were against the carbon tax. Then Erin O’Toole put the Conservatives back in favour of the carbon tax. Their most recent leader is the one who has said the Conservatives are against the carbon tax. Canada elected a brand new Prime Minister, and what was his first action? It was to get rid of the carbon tax. I, for one, am glad the Prime Minister got rid of the carbon tax. We can take a look at the Conservative idea farm, if we want to call it that. Wab Kinew, Premier of Manitoba, gave Manitobans a break on the excise tax on gasoline. Did the NDP in Manitoba steal the Conservative idea? Maybe if there are good ideas out there, our Prime Minister and this government are not shy to look at them and put them in place because they will help Canadians. Is that not what all this should be about?
