“Madam Speaker, here comes the lie of the left that we do not care. There were many school food programs across Regina and across the country, some brought in by Mosaic and private companies that helped do this. There was Chili for Children in Regina. I could go on and on. The one thing the Liberals have never realized is that there were people doing this good work. There were private companies that stepped up to make sure kids were fed, but the Liberals wanted to come in on their white horses and say, “No, the government can look after kids better.” Parents wanted to feed their own kids, and when that could not happen, there were private companies doing it. The Liberal government took that away, and it should be ashamed.”
