“Results matter more than process. Does the member not agree that approving major projects within one year is a good thing for businesses and workers, while still protecting Indigenous rights and the environment?”

Mr. Speaker, the hon. member knows that I have a great deal of respect for him. I listened intently to his comments. He spent a great deal of time talking about process. I have to be clear. Canada’s government views this very clearly. Process is not the objective. Results and getting things done are the objective. Does the hon. member not agree that having a one-year time frame to approve major projects through a clear and predictable system that benefits the private sector and benefits labour, while respecting indigenous rights and the environment, is a good thing?
