Discussion · Government Orders
Chris Lewis Conservative
“The government claims it gets things built, but that is not true. It funded an electric vehicle battery plant in Windsor, but the plant has not produced a single battery. The government spends money without getting results.”
“Mr. Speaker, do I not recognize it? There is a funny thing called the battery plant in Windsor that was designed for electric vehicles because of the government. Not one electric vehicle battery has been sent out of that plant. If we are going to invest in something, we should at least follow through with the investment. I find it a bit shallow for the member across the aisle to talk about getting things done when the government has had nearly 12 years to get things done, and nothing has gotten done after money is put forth.”
