“Broken promises hurt our democracy. The government has laws that are blocking new infrastructure projects. If the Liberals bring in a bill to get rid of those laws, I will gladly help pass it quickly.”
“Mr. Speaker, the message being sent is that there can be promises made and not kept, and that is not a good thing for democracy. If the Liberals would like to introduce legislation to repeal Bill C-69 and Bill C-48, I would be pleased to help them pass that legislation really quickly. I would trust that they have Canadians in mind and are here to help us, but since they are not, those bills are plugging up infrastructure being built, and I do not see how it can be done.”
