“We sell our oil to the United States for less than it is worth because we have no other buyers. US tariffs are also hurting us. We need to find new places to sell our oil so our economy can get more money. Also, the electric car program my colleague mentioned is still in place.”

Mr. Speaker, let us talk about pipelines. We currently export oil at a discount to the United States. That is the only avenue for our oil, a natural resource. That is why it is important to find new markets and make sure we do so in the best possible way. We also need to make Canada’s economy as strong as possible. We know that the Americans are not helping us right now with the tariffs they are imposing on us. That does not help us at all. If we can export our goods, diversify our markets and get more money, I think, like everyone else, that we will make Canada even stronger and our economy will be even better. All Canadians will benefit. As for the measure my colleague was talking about, it definitely still exists for cars.
