“The government has a bad record on First Nations issues. Instead of passing more bills, I want the minister to take real action and clean up the illegal dump that is polluting the Cowichan River.”
“Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for his sound advice on so many first nations-related issues. He speaks of a track record that not only applies to this bill but also seems to have been common throughout so many Liberal bills over 11 years. Therefore, I am calling on the minister to clean up the illegal garbage dump that is contaminating the water in the Cowichan River, and help the Cowichan people. Let us finally have some action.”
