“The courts have not finished deciding on Indigenous land rights yet. I agree this water bill should look at how nearby businesses outside reserve lands affect water, and the committee should add that.”
“Madam Speaker, to be frank, aboriginal title still has to go to the B.C. Supreme Court. With respect to industry setting up outside reserve lands, absolutely that needs to be incorporated at committee to consider that factor.”
