“Our plan to trade with more countries is working. A local business just won a contract to sell 12,000 life jackets to the British military, which supports good Canadian jobs.”
“Madam Speaker, I would like to thank my colleague and friend from Prescott—Russell—Cumberland for her tireless efforts to support the workers and local businesses in her community. In fact, I met with a local business at the Poland defence show, Tulmar Safety Systems. I would like to congratulate it as it recently secured a multi-year supply grant with the U.K. armed forces to supply them with 12,000 Canadian-made tactical life preservers, supporting good-paying local Canadian jobs. Plan A is working. We are building strength at home while we diversify abroad.”
