“This bill needs to be changed. The government spent billions of dollars on planes the air force cannot use, and there was no proper oversight. The bill is written in a way that allows corruption and outside interference.”

Mr. Speaker, let us look at the track record. The GlobalEye is an aircraft that does not meet the air force’s operational needs, and there could be an ability for billion-dollar draws without oversight and accountability. Clearly, the way the bill is written would allow for corruption and outside interference. It needs to be changed. Although the structure of a crown Corporation could be good, the bill certainly fails to meet the need.
