Discussion · Government Orders
Fraser Tolmie Conservative
“Conservatives worry about the government being too close to private companies. We saw problems with that in past projects like ArriveCAN. I want to know what the member thinks about these concerns.”
“Mr. Speaker, the member made a couple of comments with regard to insiders and friends. We have seen this with the ArriveCAN app and the green slush fund. This is a huge concern for Conservatives. I heard a previous colleague from across the aisle talking about a closer relationship between government and corporations. I think that is what scares us the most about that. Would the member like to share his point of view and thoughts on that and on why there are some reservations on our side?”
