“Mr. Speaker, Bill C‑38 clearly states that, as of January 2027, the suspension of the excise tax will be reduced by half and that on April 1, we will return to where we were before. Yes, the tax suspension will be eliminated. We will go back to where we were. That is why I have said several times that this is a temporary measure.”
