“This bill will bring quick, real help to millions of Canadians by cutting fuel taxes. I want to know if the Conservatives will support it or stand in its way.”
Official Hansard

Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague, whom I respect very much, for his speech. In his speech, he said that we had announced some good news with this bill but that it was not enough. That is a valid argument. I think reasonable people can have opposing views on the best course of action. However, I think there is no question that this measure will bring concrete and immediate relief to millions of Canadians. Will the Conservative Party support the bill or stand in the way of it? Is the Conservative Party prepared to work with the government to make life more affordable for Canadians?
