“The member voted against our earlier motion to make life more affordable, so I do not understand his question. The government is only pausing fuel taxes. We should get rid of them completely to help people in my riding and across Canada.”

Mr. Speaker, I am a bit surprised by his question. We moved a motion earlier because we wanted to talk about affordability. He voted against that motion, so I am having a hard time understanding his question. Again, the Liberals have set an end date for the taxes. Why not eliminate them altogether? That would give Canadians and Quebeckers, including the people of Beauce, a bit of breathing room.
