“Diesel prices went up by 15% recently, showing our economy has serious problems. Cutting the fuel tax helps, but the Liberals keep offering temporary fixes instead of solving real issues.”

Madam Speaker, I was listening to my colleague from Saskatchewan give a speech about temporary reduction of the fuel excise tax. Some of the issues that he raised show us that there are fundamental problems to Canada’s economy. What we are hearing from these Liberals time and time again are temporary, short-term, band-aid solutions to what are really fundamental problems. This bill would reduce the fuel tax by 10¢. My colleague just talked about diesel prices going up 15% or more in a very short period of time. I know we are in the same party and he is probably going to think the same way I do. Is he not getting a little tired of the Liberals talking about temporary, band-aid solutions when there are fundamental problems that need to be addressed?
