“I am a farmer, so I know high fuel prices hurt farmers trying to produce and deliver food. Cutting fuel taxes will help all Canadians. I want the member to see this and support the motion.”
“Mr. Speaker, it is not that I am recognizing diesel prices just today. I am a farmer myself. I come from a farming background. I understand how much it is costing me and other farmers across our nation currently to fuel our farms and make sure we can deliver food across this nation. It is not just for the measures that my hon. colleague is mentioning today but for all Canadians. I wish and desire that he would see what I am talking about and that the motion we are speaking to today would be spoken about as well.”
