Discussion · Government Orders
Marie-Hélène Gaudreau Bloc Québécois
“I want the government to support our motion and release the $600 million for culture right now. Words are not enough. We need action.”
“Mr. Speaker, I was obviously asking this question of my colleagues here. Frankly, we were expecting this question. The motion we are moving today is concrete. The question is not how we vote, why we vote or what we vote on. Action is needed. I have no doubt that my Liberal and Conservative colleagues care about culture. However, it is time for my Liberal colleagues to take action. I will believe it when I see it. The $600 million is needed now.”
