“I want the member to say more about making big tech companies pay taxes. The government gave in to Donald Trump and dropped these taxes. Europe has these taxes, and they did not raise monthly subscription costs. Saying this is about affordability is not true.”
“Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague for her great speech. I would like her to say a bit more on the importance of making web giants pay. The government chose to kowtow to Mr. Trump and abandon the idea of imposing levies, even if such levies exist in Europe and have no effect on the cost of monthly subscriptions. Therefore, saying that it is a matter of affordability is simply not true. Does my colleague have anything to add on that subject?”
