“I agree with my colleague. The Prime Minister backed down and let down our artists and Canadians. He will not defend our identity and culture. He promised $600 million, but no one has seen any of it, and that amount is not enough anyway. I hope he fixes this.”
“Mr. Speaker, I agree with my colleague. Personally, I think that someone who backs down like this is not someone I would send to war to defend my own identity and my own culture. In short, it is a recurring theme for us in the Bloc Québécois. Yes, the Prime Minister has let down artists and Canadians. I hope he will be able to make amends. Once again, we are talking about the $600 million, but no one has seen a cent of that. Again, throwing out numbers is all well and good, but we have not seen a cent of this money, and the amount is not enough.”
