“Culture and heritage take many forms, including farming. We should keep celebrating all these different parts of Canadian life, including our ethnic and language diversity.”
“Mr. Speaker, I applaud my colleague because she raises a very important point. Culture and heritage take many different forms. We can talk about our agricultural community and how it is very different from communities in other nations with respect to leading technologies, environmental sensitivity or how the whole family attitude is celebrated in Canada We need to continue to have a wide spectrum of different types of celebrations, even though today, for me personally, it is a lot more about culture of diversity through ethnicity and language.”
