“Mr. Speaker, on behalf of the government, I am pleased to share its commitment to provide the $600 million that my colleague mentioned. A lot more information will be provided in the coming days. I look forward to it. That said, I also want to inform my colleague that in addition to the $600 million, another $550 million has already been distributed: $192 million to the CBC/Radio‑Canada; $150 million to Telefilm Canada; $127 million to the Canada Media Fund; $48 million to the Canada Music Fund; $26 million to the National Film Board of Canada; and $6 million to the Canada Council for the Arts. Most of these amounts, except for the funds provided to CBC/Radio‑Canada, will be spread out over three years, although the distribution has already started. I thank my colleague for her question and for the opportunity to share this information.”
