Madam Speaker, that was very important question. Science and research have always been integral to agriculture and agri-food, and they will continue to be a priority for the government. We are consolidating our infrastructure to reduce rising overhead costs and ensure that more of our available resources are being directed towards scientific research and innovation. We remain Canada’s largest agricultural research organization. With 17 research centres nationwide, every province will continue to have at least one research centre to research farm-related issues, addressing regional and national priorities.
